ALPS Electrical: A company you can trust.

Our pledge and accreditation logos explained.

Throughout our website you may notice various 'logos' being proudly displayed. But what do these logos actually stand for? How can you as a customer be assured that you are choosing a company you can have absolute confidence in? We understand that whilst many people may have noticed some of these logos before, they may not actually have any idea what they represent.

We are extremely proud to have obtained the right to display these logos which have taken years of experience, and trust to gain and below we explain what they all mean to you as a customer.

RECC Logo

ALPS Electrical is extremely proud to be a member of RECC. The Renewable Energy Consumer Code. As a business we must undergo stringent checks on past and present business operations to ensure we are providing the highest levels of service, and importantly transparent and accurate selling information to our customers. Our business practices are constantly monitored by RECC to ensure these high standards are continuously maintained.

The code was formed in 2006 and was designed to help members achieve high consumer protection standards when selling or leasing small-scale heat and power generation units, for example Solar PV, whether from renewable or other low carbon sources, to domestic consumers.

The code dovetails with the MCS, and a requirement of companies wanting to gain MCS certification is that they are members of a CTSI Approved Consumer Code of Practice scheme in the first instance.

Napit Logo

Alps Electrical is approved by the NAPIT competent person scheme. To become part of this scheme we must maintain a high level of workmanship standards, knowledge of the regulations, and display continuous progression in our field of expertise. We are committed to ensuring our tradesmen and women are always driven to continue learning and building upon their skills. Once a year we are visited by a NAPIT assessor who checks our work and our office practices amongst other things to ensure we can continue to be approved by the scheme.

NAPIT is committed to improving industry standards, and promoting safe, quality work. The NAPIT brand provides a mark of professionalism for domestic, commercial, and industrial installers, designed to demonstrate their competence.

NAPIT Registration is authorised by the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and the Welsh Government to operate Competent Person Schemes. Along with a Third Party Certification Scheme (England only). This means that NAPIT complies with strict Conditions of Authorisation and maintains certain obligations to members.

NAPIT Certification is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) to confirm our robust and compliant operation of Competent Person Schemes, as well as the Microgeneration Certification Scheme and Energy Efficiency Installer Schemes. UKAS accreditation ensures the technical competence and integrity of the services we provide in line with industry requirements that apply equally to all operators of such membership schemes.

Checkatrade Logo

Alps Electrical joined Checkatrade in 2018 and quickly became the highest rated electrician in the area, collating over 250 outstanding 10/10 reviews. To be part of Checkatrade we must also be part of a competent person scheme, of which we are with NAPIT. They also check all of our accreditations and qualifications to ensure they meet their strict criteria.

We are extremely proud of the excellent reviews we have built over the years. Lots of companies say they pride themselves on excellent customer service but at Alps Electrical we really mean it. For us the customer journey must be one of excellent communication, prompt arrival to the job, pleasant and respectful staff, and of course the highest standards of workmanship. MCS Certified Logo

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) certifies, quality assures and provides consumer protection for microgeneration installations and installers. These consist of small scale renewable electricity technologies such as solar PV, biomass, wind, heat pumps and heat products.

In order to be MCS approved we must follow strict procedures with regard to the entire process of selling and installing Solar PV & Battery storage. These procedures are closely monitored by MCS approved assessors who once a year visit us to check our entire back office is compliant as well as our jobs.

Alps Electrical is approved by MCS for both Solar PV and Battery Storage.

On 20 April 2018, the Scheme transferred to the MCS Service Company Limited, and the MCS Charitable Foundation, an important step towards ensuring the sustainability of renewables and energy efficiency consumer markets in the long-term.

In line with the recommendation published on the Each Home Counts: an independent review website, MCS and Trustmark are working together to deliver the Quality Mark, part of the quality and standards framework planned through the review.

MCS has certified over a million installations since it was launched in 2007 and has nearly 2,000 currently registered installers. The scheme has played an important part in the growth of the installation of renewables in homes and small businesses in the UK, helping to drive up standards.
