Domestic Grants in Stillington.
The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) is a government grant scheme that offers up to £350 towards your EV home charger purchase and installation. The grant is also commonly known as the OZEV grant, as it is issued by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles.
The government has recognised that electric vehicles are vital to decarbonising the transport systems in the UK and reducing air pollution. To support the ownership of electric vehicles, the government designed the OZEV scheme so that car owners are facilitated to buy and install EV chargers, with the support of the grant and can therefore charge their vehicles at home.
The grant is available for most electric and plug-in hybrid cars, both old and new and provides a 75% contribution towards a single charge point and installation cost.
The grant is now only available to homeowners of flat properties and does not apply to homeowners of single-unit properties. The EVHS grant is also available to those who live in rented accommodation. The total grant is capped at £350.
